The Healthy Habit
Hello Friends!
Since I've had my children, it's been so difficult to be consistent about taking care of myself, being active and eating healthy. So this year I have committed myself to being disciplined about my body. After all, I can't take care of my babies if I'm constantly unwell and sluggish.
Thus, I'm establishing a new routine. Losing weight isn't necessarily my goal. I'm really just trying to increase my metabolism. and get some of my energy and strength back. I've got to keep up with these little goobers, and I want to be able to pick them up without feeling exhausted by it. We're keeping things simple around here. I'm going to be adjusting my diet to make sure that I'm getting all of the nutrients I need {not just eating my kids leftovers}, increasing my water intake, getting out of the house and walking more (the kids will like this), and doing a bit of strength training.
I'll be sure to post my plans and progress along the way! It takes about 21 days to start a habit, and I so desperately want a healthy active lifestyle to be my family's "habit". Mr. Bussey and I have to be examples for our kiddos, and we have to be good stewards of the bodies God has given us.
When I am about to make plans or start a new endeavor I love to think about Proverbs 16:3.
"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established."
~Proverbs 16:3
This is a great Scripture to pray over when you have new things on the horizon. Maybe you're thinking about starting a new phase in your life as well. If you feel comfortable, drop me a comment and let me know what it is and I will pray for you. It's never too late for a new beginning!
